It’s time for all the puppet lovers to enjoy the Ishara International Puppet Festival at India Habitat, Delhi. Be mesmerized and delve in to the world of puppetry with a wide & exciting range of breathtaking performances in Ishara International Puppet Theater Festival 2018 from 20th to 27th Feb, 2018. This year The Ishara International Puppet Theatre Festival celebrates its 16th anniversary . It was established in 2001, nurtured & supported by the Ishara Puppet Theater Trust. The festival has grown into one of  the Asia’s largest annual puppet festivals.

The Ishara International Puppet Theater Festival has received tremendous acclaim & support from puppeteers, artists & performers from across the globe. Attracting thousands of visitors each year, this season the festival has brought to India over 150 international puppetry companies & promoted numerous indigenous productions this year. Countries which have participated & showcased their works include the UK, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, Brazil, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Iran, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Afghanistan, Ireland, Australia & USA.

Be it tradition Chinese folklore, Italian marionettes, or the Northern Thai contemporary puppet dancing, the shows are committed to engross people of all age groups, and the performances are sure to entertain, and inspire the audience. The narratives will convey manifold emotions ranging from the innocence of childhood to the inexorable interdependence of joy and sorrow, and life and death, and many more.
